Where to swim in Bodrum: Torba
You don’t need a crowded bay to swim in Bodrum. Torba is a quieter neighbourhood where the beach is a short walk.
People looking for a place to swim in Bodrum often start with the famous bays. Torba sits on the quieter side of the peninsula: the shore is close to houses and small hotels, and the day can move without a rush.
From Lodos, Torba beach is about a three-minute walk. The water is usually calmer early in the morning; in the afternoon you can sit in the shade and come back to the shore later. For families and anyone who wants a quiet swim, that distance matters — you reach the sea without getting in a car.
Torba beach keeps a different pace from Bodrum’s busier coves. The shore is a mix of sand and pebbles, the entry is gentle, and there are paths to walk nearby. Spending part of the day in the water and part of it in the shade feels natural here.
There are other places to swim on the peninsula. Bitez and Gümbet are livelier; Türkbükü and Gölköy sit to the north; Gümüşlük is known for sunset. If you use Torba as a base you can visit them for the day and spend the night in a quieter neighbourhood.
If you need a place to stay, Lodos is at Dalli Street No:5 in Torba. Ten double rooms, breakfast included, with the restaurant and bar on the same street. A WhatsApp message is enough if you want the sea, the table and the evening in one rhythm.
